It has been a while, but I’m bringing back the Exercise Challenge. This time, I’m bringing in the big guns.
I have purchased a Concept 2 Model D indoor rowing machine to replace an Integrity Air 3000. The reason for the purchase is that the Integrity rower was just too short, causing my hand to hit the flywheel casing as I made my approach on the slide. I compensated by placing blocks of wood in the foot stretcher, but that left me very little clearance at the end of the slide.
The layout of the Exercise Challenge still needs to be ironed out, but my initial concept is to row Monday through Friday, gradually increasing the distance and/or stroke rate during the week. However, the goal will be the same: lose 5 pounds. My plan is to have everything ready to go by this Monday, giving me 6 weeks to burn 5 pounds. That means, come May 21st, we’ll find out if I achieved my goal.
