Sports: New York Giants

December 30, 2006

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

Anyone that knows me knows I am a huge NY Giants Fan, and as such, they know I am on pins and needles today.  For today, the 30th of December, the Giants MUST defeat the Redskins in order to slip into the playoffs.  My fingers are crossed, my prayers been said, and my TV is ready for 3.5 hours of me yelling and screaming at it in either excitement or disappointment.  They’ve lost the lead of the NFC East, they’ve lost several starters this season, and they are on the verge of losing all faith in themselves.  If they win today, they just might rekindle the magic they showed in the first-half of the season when they were 6-2.  GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!

Rest in Peace President Ford

December 27, 2006

We have lost a good man, a humble man, a caring man yesterday.  May he rest in peace and may we remember the service and love he had for the nation and carried it through troubled times.

Open mic: Say whatever you want.

December 21, 2006

Well folks, we’re closing in on the Christmas weekend which means I will probably not have much time to post any new messages for a few days.  With that being the case, I turn the mic over to you.  Feel free to ask any questions, make any recommendations, or advertise your site among other things.

This has been a great first month on WordPress and I appreciate all of those who have visited the site in the past as well as left comments.  Hopefully 2007 will bring many more exciting new additions to the site for you to read and enjoy.  Have a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and any other holiday which you and your family might be celebrating.  If you are travelling, take care and return home safely.

Science: Mount St. Helens

December 19, 2006

It is hard to believe that a quarter century has past since I woke up one morning to find my front yard covered in gray ash.  In May 1980, I was living on the Pacific Coast of Washington state enjoying my view of the ocean from my cliff-side home.  However, that morning I has a different scene out the front door of my house, with dark clouds full of ash filled the sky.  It is not often that I live through a major historical moment, and it is definitely one I will never forget.
