GO GIANTS!

February 2, 2008

The NFC Champions NEW YORK GIANTS are heading to Super Bowl XLII to challenge the AFC Champions New England Patriots.  While the Patriots are the favored team to win, our Giants are not to be counted out.  In the last match up between these two teams in Week 17, the Giants came within 3 points of defeating the Patriots after leading them by 12 points at one moment in the game.  This SHOULD be a hard-hitting close game, and if so, it should be very entertaining for everyone who is watching.  While I hope the Giants win (and vindicate their loss from the 2000 season), I will not be upset if they lose, especially if it is a close game.  They have worked hard and never fully been given the credit for their sucesses all season.

So get your snacks ready and call your friends over, and cheer for the BIG BLUE!

Come on Giants, YOU CAN WIN!

NBC/Sci-Fi intentionally trying to kill off Battlestar Galatica

January 22, 2007

I’m sorry, but there is no other reason that Battlestar Galatica would be moved off of Friday night’s prime time slot and placed so late in the evening on Sunday night, especially with the first episode beginning right after (or in this case during) the NFL Conference Championships.  There is no excuse for this.  Wait, maybe there is a new hit show scheduled to be aired instead.  Let’s see their Friday night line up:

7:00pm:  “Heroes” – Now, ok, this is a good show, but this is a rerun from Monday night.  I like the fact that it is on Sci-Fi though where it belongs.

8:00pm:  “Dresden Files” – This seems like it will be a good show, however this is a rerun from Sunday night.  Why is this show slated for Sunday night as well?  Must be something really good in the 9 and 10pm time slots.

9:00pm:  “Jake 2.0” – This was a cute show a few years ago, but it’s dated and not worthy of a prime time slot.  Why isn’t this scheduled earlier in the evening or on another day?

10:00pm: “Jake 2.0” – Again???  Really, I’m a big fan of Keegan Connor Tracy (and who wouldn’t be), and I enjoy seeing her grace my big screen TV, but this is prime time folks!

So, the cable channel which dominated Friday nights is now going soft.  No Stargate SG-1 until April, Battlestar Galatica moved to Sunday, and Doctor Who isn’t slated till when . . . June?  Why don’t they at least put Enterprise or Eureka on Friday?  I seriously believe the programmers at Sci-Fi have lost it and in need of being replaced.

PUT BATTLESTAR GALATICA BACK ON FRIDAYS!!!

GO GIANTS!!!

Unfortunately I will not be able to do a live blogging event tomorrow during the Giants/Eagles game.  If you listen carefully though, you will hear me cheering as loud as I can during the game over at my friends house.  For all of you Giants fans, tomorrow is the day for you to cross your fingers, say your prayers, and do your victory dances to help our boys overcome a hot Eagles team and progress on to Chicago for a rematch.

GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!  Tiki and Eli . . . you two can do it.  WE BELIEVE!!!

Sports: New York Giants

December 30, 2006

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

Anyone that knows me knows I am a huge NY Giants Fan, and as such, they know I am on pins and needles today.  For today, the 30th of December, the Giants MUST defeat the Redskins in order to slip into the playoffs.  My fingers are crossed, my prayers been said, and my TV is ready for 3.5 hours of me yelling and screaming at it in either excitement or disappointment.  They’ve lost the lead of the NFC East, they’ve lost several starters this season, and they are on the verge of losing all faith in themselves.  If they win today, they just might rekindle the magic they showed in the first-half of the season when they were 6-2.  GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!
